After saying that we would never want a shop, our experiences and talking to a lot of customers at the various shows we did over the summer, has shown us that there is a big market of people who do not want to shop on the net.

Again we have listened and have just signed a lease for a new shop, which is currently under going refurbishment.  A few walls have been knocked down, a few will be going up, our kitchen is being fitted w/c 21st September and the finishing touches w/c 28th September, in time for the GRAND OPENING on :

Thursday, 1st October 2009 at 10am.

... just in time for the Stone Food and Drink Festival that weekend!

Apart from the welcoming brew, the pot will always be on, we are going to have some FANTASTIC OPENING OFFERS, during the month of October, so dont leave it too-late, you may miss out!

Friday, 17th July, saw torrential rain and raising doubts about the potential turnout, for the following days show.

Arriving early on the Saturday morning, saw us getting the van stuck in the mud before we even got started ~ This did not look good!!!

We soldiered on, stiff upper lip and all that and finally got set up.  We had a great corner plot in the Food Hall right next to the Aga demonstration area, wonder how they felt with us selling a full range of "Le Creuset" right under their noses?

I could not understand why Iwona had brought so many stove top kettles?  But guess what was our best selling item?  You guessed, to my dismay... Yes, stove top kettles!

This show saw the first introduction of somes examples from the Kitchencraft and Masterclass ranges, including silicone Egg Rings (our best seller for kids) Oil and Vinegar Sets and a handful of Cafetieres.  We also had a lot of interest in Kitchencraft's Home/Made preserve range, the full range will soon be finalised on our website.

This range has now grown considerably and so our next 2 shows, the first at Eccleshall on Saturday, 5th September and Ludlow, the following Saturday, 12th September, we will show far more of these items, including our launch of the MINIAMO range (cookery for young ladies).

Lee Edgington - GR8-Kitchenware.

Yes, here we are again! and once again the weather was glorious (what's going on?).

This time the organisers made a mistake and accidently gave us 7metres by 4 metres, the extra space was a real luxury.

One customer early on wanted to know if our Le Creuset teapots were non drip? So Lee put it to the test by pouring water from a vase of flowers into the teapot for the lady to "test" pour back into the vase. As hard as she tried it would not drip.  After saying "Thanks" she walked off not buying one!

The story was related to every customer who then showed interest in our teapots about the Lady who put Lee to the test and then didn't buy!

Imagine Lee's embarrassment when she returned later in the day and bought one!  Lee told her what he had been saying and fortunately she laughed.

We were also visited by none other than Jean-Christophe Novelli.  After one of his cooking demonstrations he found time to come across and spend time with all of the traders.  He was an absolute gentleman.  Having signed our Banner he also gave Iwona a kiss on each cheek, needless to say she didn't wash her face for a week after.

If you saw us there get in touch and let us know, we have made so much progress with our website since seeing you there.  Again we listened, and to those who said Le Creuset was just a little bit too expensive for them, Iwona is in the process of adding some 3,000 cookware products.  This is going to take some time, so if there is anything you are looking for and its not on the website, please get in touch, we are sure we can get it for you.

Having launched the new Company, we thought that during the summer season, we would like to be visible to our new customers, not just a faceless internet company.

As Le Crueset is Iwona's passion, we decided to feature their products with the theme "its not just orange and cast iron".

The weather was glorious and it attracted a lot of customers.

A lot of customers commented that they didnt know Le Creuset has such a variety of colours (as you will see in our picture below)

We also ran a competition on who had owned their Cast Iron cookware the longest.  The record was 44-years and the lady in question had now passed it on to her daughter as she had artheritis but her casserole was still going strong.

We really enjoyed doing the show, but as it was our first attempt, we took far too much stock, so spent 3 hours on the Wednesday night having to put it all away.  Im sure we will learn for the next one we do this coming weekend.
